As VDI 6023 certified MEP design engineers drinking water hygiene starts with the design. Drinking water must comply with official regulations. We apply the German Trinkwasserverordnung (TrinkwV), DVGW 551, VDI 6023, DIN EN 806 and DIN EN 1717 according to specific requirements. Before we start with initial designs the material selection takes place according to local requirements. Essential decisions will be made whether a ring or series system will be in scope. We consider line spacing between PWC and PWH, as well as adequate insulation. For PWH-C circulation systems, we provide calculations for keeping the set temperature of >55 ° C as well as hydraulic adjustment . We plan automatic flushing devices to ensure hygiene for rarely used systems (for example in schools, gyms, kindergartens, holiday homes, hotels, hospitals and commercial companies). We separate fire extinguishing pipes from the drinking water system. Dry leak tests are preferred. We are a competent partner from creating As-built drawings to engineering from scratch.

The approach of our engineering work is based on As-built drawings and in some cases also risk analyzes of existing facilities. With modern CAD calculation software we determine the most economical solution for drinking water supply. We optimize pipe cross sections, simulate hydraulic balancing, water exchange and thermal disinfection. The optimal insulation ensures constant drinking water temperatures and a separation of warm areas. Low-usage times can be compensated by automatic flushing devices.
